1) THE “BANDWIDTH PROBLEM”

Let me tell you a corny joke of mine. It goes like this: “You know – I am really, really smart! In fact, I am so smart that I can prove that Albert Einstein himself was wrong! For – there is in fact something which moves faster than the speed of light! My mouth! Haw, haw, haw!”

Well, everybody. In truth – my mind works faster than my mouth. I can think faster than I can speak. And even more so – I can think much faster than I can write my thoughts down – (whether on a piece of paper or on a PC screen)! It is not so hard for me to think fast. But transferring my thoughts, together with all the arguments and evidence required to back them up, into my fellow men´s minds by means of texts will be something like trying to empty the water behind a dam through a narrow pipe. It will necessarily take a lot of time.

This constitutes what I call the “bandwidth problem”.

Right now, my mind is chock full of ideas concerning philosophy, politics, current events and other subject matters. My ambition is to share these thoughts of mine with the world on this website. I will not be able to write all the texts this would require instantaneously. Putting my thoughts into writing will take time. So – this website will start small – and subsequently grow and grow.

One problem I will face is that making assertions is all well and fine. But readers will expect me to back up my assertions. My assertions will namely be controversial. And – due to the “bandwidth problem” it will take me a long time to write down in text form adequate arguments and evidence to support my assertions.

However – I must begin somewhere. So – I will begin by making bold assertions with only a cursory backing-up. That should, at least, pique some readers´ interest. Of course, I will not convince people if all I do is make assertions. But I am OK with that. “All in due time.” I will adopt a long-range perspective when building up this website. I will be on the premise that it will take quite some time for my readers to become convinced. If they become convinced at all!

2) THE “EVIDENCE AND THE SOURCES PROBLEM”

For the sake of being taken seriously, intellectuals are supposed to provide sources for the evidence they adduce in support of their assertions. That constitutes a big problem for me right now. My mind is full of knowledge and convictions which I have accumulated over the past sixty years. In the case of most of my specific pieces of knowledge and convictions I cannot today remember exactly where or how I originally acquired/developed them. For – I do not possess an encyclopedia-type memory. But – I do know what I know. And I insist on speaking my mind!

So, everybody – be forewarned! I will make numerous assertions on this site. I will back up my most controversial and/or important statements by means of making other statements from which, in my view, my former statements logically flow. Other statements which I expect intelligent and honest laymen to already recognize as true.

In many cases my readers will not be impressed. I will be OK with that. I do not expect to change people´s minds. I am right now on the premise that the overwhelming majority of my fellow men disagree with my convictions concerning philosophy, politics, psychology and other subject matters. And – I know full well that few individuals are willing to change their minds on fundamental issues when someone points out that they are mistaken. But – maybe I can plant seeds of doubt in the smug embracers of “modern”, egalitarian/nihilistic intellectual trends. And that will, at least, be something worthwhile!

Now, I really would like to persuade my fellow men by means of reason. Really, I would! But I am all of 71 years old today (today being December, 2025) - and I am tired. So – I know from many years of experience as an intellectual activist that reason does not “work” on more than a small minority of my fellow men. And – it usually only works when the persuader invests an awful lot of time and effort in extensive reasoning. Well, I am not inclined to invest an awful lot of time and effort in the task of enlightening my fellow men. Not any longer!

For, it is my conviction is that every individual man without exception has a moral obligation to himself to identify the facts of reality correctly. For, his life depends on it! Every man must go to the trouble of trying to find out the truth by means of his own cognitive efforts! And - most men feel that they cannot be bothered to do so. Well – it isn´t my job to do it for them! Why should I work my butt off to compensate with my effort/virtues for other men´s laziness/vices?

So - I will not invest an awful lot of effort in trying to convince those readers of mine who need an awful lot of convincing. If they don´t see the light – that will be their frigging problem!

So there!
